35 new investigations adapted from H.P. Lovecraft, from the Dreamlands to Federal Hill. A new way to play: hunt down six key relics to open each case's final door, while every lead you chase closes another. Win allies, make rivals, and face up to eight endings.

The Society kept a second cabinet. These are the files that were never meant to be reopened.
The Lost Case Files adds 35 new cases to DarkDice. Each one is adapted from a Lovecraft story and keeps the original's period, setting, characters and central horror, then gives your investigator room to act inside it.
These cases are not played like the cases in the base game. Every one of them combines two systems:
The hunt: a sealed door stands at the heart of every case. Behind it lies the truth. To open it, you must gather six key relics scattered through the investigation: torn book-leaves, shards of blue glass, medallions of a forgotten sect.
The commitment: you can't chase every lead. Each case has groups of mutually exclusive choices. Question one witness and the other goes silent. Search one site and the other is lost. Guard one friend through the blackout and leave the other in the dark.
Together they turn every case into a question of which path to the door you will take, and what you will give up to get there. Each route turns up its relics in a different place and at a different cost, and brings different allies, enemies and evidence into the final chapter. No route locks you out: every path can still find its way to the door, or you can force it open, at a price.
35 new cases: Celephaïs, The Silver Key, The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath, The Whisperer in Darkness, The Dreams in the Witch House, The Thing on the Doorstep, The Haunter of the Dark, The Lurking Fear, The Shunned House, The Music of Erich Zann, and many more.
Characters who remember: Lovecraft's characters react to how you treat them. They can stand beside you in the final chapter or work against you.
Deduction, then consequence: weigh what you found, judge who to trust, and decide what to expose, seal or destroy. Different evidence leads to different endings.
Up to eight endings per case, from a clean victory to a narrow escape to something much worse.
70 new Steam achievements.
